Oh my goodness, this is going to take me a day or two or, you know, half a day uh to be able to reconcile my my goods receipts uh to my accounts payable.
Once again, we're very excited to show you AI agent that SAP has delivered as part of their SAP cloud ERP solution. So, what you're going to see executed today is the month-end close agent. And uh what this is going to do is really streamline some of the month-end close activities. And what you'll see is that you're going to get some intelligent matching, some intelligent reconciliation, kind of helping the team move through the activities that are involved in the month close. Again, this is automating a lot of those arduous manual tasks of reconciliation, the things that people at the end of the month go, "Oh my goodness, this is going to take me a day or two or, you know, half a day uh to be able to reconcile my goods receipts uh to my accounts payable, etc." Some of those intercompany reconciliations, etc. So, let's sit here and watch as Zach takes us through this particular agent, which again is not yet in general release. It is in limited release, but by the time you see this video will likely be generally available from SAP. So, Zach, can you go ahead and take us through that?
The controller, today's close day, and instead of spreadsheets and email chains, he opens one screen. Four AI agents are already working clearing receivables, processing accruals, matching intercompany transactions, clearing payables before his coffee is even ready. Overnight, the agent matched invoices to payments across five customers, reviewing hundreds of transactions Zach would have had to check by hand. Things laid out clearly, ready for his review. Take ABC Corporation. Seven proposals, 19 matched items. Zach checks it over. One click and it's posted. Done. He works through the rest the same way. A quick scan, a click to post. No retyping, no chasing down backup documents. By the time he's done, receivables clearing is at 100%. And while he's been focused there, the other agents haven't stopped. Accruals and intercompany reconciliation keep climbing in the background. He's not managing one task at a time anymore. Seeing a whole team of them in parallel. Next up, intercompany reconciliation. Inner company reconciliation is usually the closes' biggest headache. Two entities, two sets of books, hours spent tracking down why the numbers don't tie out. Here, the agents already found the match. And this is the part Zach really cares about. It shows its work. Not just these numbers match, but why laid out in plain language. He's not taking a black box's word for it. He's reviewing a colleague's recommendation. One that never gets tired, never needs a coffee break. He checks the reasoning and releases it. Back on the dashboard, the numbers keep climbing. The team's humming along. Now, a journal entry comes in that isn't part of any standard automation. Something one-off tied to a document that just landed in his inbox. In the old world, that's a ticket, a wait, a back and forth with someone in the business who has the context he needs. New world, Zach just hands the document straight to the assistant. It reads the file and starts walking him through it, confirming the posting date, the transaction currency, the company code, the GL account, the amount, all pulled straight from the document. A quick mapping step, and the proposal is ready. Zach reviews the reasoning behind it, confirms the details, and posts it. What used to mean a request, a wait, and a review cycle just happened in one conversation in real time without ever leaving the app. The entry flips from open to posted right in front of him. And then every controller lives for the task list is empty. Not mostly done. Done. No batch jobs still running in the background. No, we'll true it up next month. The books are closed and Zach didn't have to chase down a single person to get there. So instead of spending the next two days reconciling what happened, he moves straight into what it means, pulling up the financial statement review booklet to see the story behind the numbers. This used to take days exporting to Excel, guessing at what to tell the CFO. Now Zach just asks Joule directly, "Why did gross profit margin move?" And Juul doesn't just answer. It shows him with a chart broken down by product in seconds. He asks a follow-up, another chart, another answer. No waiting on someone else to build the report. By the end of the conversation, Zach has more than numbers. He has a narrative. A clear, defensible story about what happened this period and why. Ready to walk into the CFO's office with. That's the close reimagined. Not just faster, smarter. Advanced financial closing assistant. Close faster, close smarter, close with confidence. So, hopefully what you've seen is why we are excited about agents, right? We got to see an agent in action. We can see that it's actually embedded directly within the solution itself. So whether you're using just base cloud ERP, whether you're using the advanced financial close, um it is it is intelligently embedded throughout this solution, you're seeing the benefits of speeding up the month-end close. And you know, time is money, right? Have quicker real-time visibility to how the business is performing financially is critical to most agent uh most organizations. Sorry, using the word agent a lot. So as you take a look, just appreciate what SAP is actually delivering. no longer just talking about it just like uh all the other uh all the other publishers right who have talked a lot about agents you are seeing them delivered in action able to understand the value that they're bringing to the business and the value that SAP is providing by embedding them throughout the application again something that quad chat GBT they can't do these types of things external to the solution it has to be in the business in the solution, right context, using the right data to be able to perform in a very responsible way with the right governance those key activities that that are important to the business. So hopefully you see the value. We're super excited about it. We're actively helping our customers leverage these agents and we'd love to help you as well.
